Availys is designed with clear boundaries to ensure every team member has exactly the tools they need—and nothing they don't.
Subscription Manager
The ultimate billing and structural owner of the organization. They operate outside the daily planning environment.
What they can do
- Exclusive access to the /subscription-manager portal
- Handle billing, payments, and plan upgrades/downgrades
- Create, edit, and delete Teams within the organization
- Invite, edit, or delete Admins and Viewers
What they cannot do
- Blocked entirely from accessing the planning board
- Cannot view forecasts, dashboards, or exports
- Cannot manage standard Team Member users (delegated to Admins)
Team Admin
Department heads or team leads who manage the functional workforce and projects for their specific team.
What they can do
- Full access to /board, /forecast, /overview dashboard, and /exports for their team
- Create, edit, and delete projects
- Manage users within their own team (create, edit, lock/unlock)
- Create other Admin users for their own team
- Schedule assignments and change hours for team members
What they cannot do
- Cannot manage users or view dashboards for other teams
- Cannot access billing or subscription portals
Viewer
Stakeholders or external partners needing global read-only visibility.
What they can do
- Global read-only access to /board, /overview, and /exports for the entire organization
- Filter global views by Department and Focus Track
What they cannot do
- Strictly blocked from creating, editing, or deleting anything
- Cannot access detailed forecasting workflows
- Do not appear as assignable resources on the board
Team Member
The everyday consultants or employees who are being scheduled onto projects.
What they can do
- View their team's /board and use /exports for reporting
- Access /forecast and edit their own assignments
- Update own Name, Focus Track, Department, Capacity, and Seniority
What they cannot do
- Cannot access the /overview analytics dashboard
- No access to /admin panel for projects or user management
- Strictly prevented from editing others' assignments
